Are you seeing value in your Yellow Page ads?

What if you took half of your Yellow Page budget going into 2010 and put it towards getting your website on the first page of Google?  Do you think you might get more leads?  More opportunities with new customers? Let’s say your spent $10,000 in Yellow Page advertising in 2009.  Now take $5000 of this and renew your Yellow Page ad and use the remaining $5000 to put towards search engine optimization plus a social media strategy which could put you right on the first page of Google.

In my personal blog I shared a story about a recent visit in downtown Calgary how a particular oil and gas company is using the Yellow Pages for something practical.  This company uses the Yellow Pages everyday and they claim the Yellow Pages are a vital part of their daily business.
